The Myo Electric Hand Prosthesis, which is constructed differently compared to
other prostheses with internal power steering using harness, straps and cables.
It uses external power steering comparable to a battery as generative power to
control the arm with voltage modification regarding muscle contraction.
- With supplement of simple actions in many known prosthetic hands, the versatility
functions have been developed by putting all of the finger joints in motion
as a whole.
- The wrist unit is featured with free flexibility, extension, pronation and
supination by means of biaxial joint unit movement and it performed by self-support
or complex movement functions.
- The mechanical functions of finger, wrist, forearm and elbow joint have
been developed to correspond to the versatility of human hand function and
a natural appearance for the outer is provided.
- Electrical action potential, generated by contraction of the residual limb
muscle, is used to activate the prosthesis.
- For the low-elbow amputee who has no functional ability of the residual
limb due to an electric shock or suffering from a burn and etc, abdomen muscle
contraction system is applied.
